What are the factors of Justice?

Justice: just behavior or treatment.

While writing about justice, I am going to portray the concept as a Pro Noun. The reason for this is because Justice is not only something everyone experiences daily, but it is also a concept that obtains personal characteristics, whether they be helpful or hindering.

The factors I believe aids justice is when someone or something holds a sense of acceptance and impartialness. These characteristics allow for the topic at hand to uphold justice through understanding and overall appreciation for what someone or something did wrong. In the realistic world, having such a unprejudiced view on the subject at hand is unheard of, solely because of how the human brain is wired to think. Everyone constructs their own opinions and generally doesn't change those unless a big challenge occurs in one's life. In To Kill A Mockingbird, this challenge occurs many times, regarding multiple characters. The most obvious change of heart would be Scout realizing that life's conflicts do not have to be solved by violence and words. Sometimes all one has to do is sit back and wait for other's to see the light of correct morals.

The factors I believe impede justice are greed and bias. When one holds these characteristics true to themselves, their view upon tricky subjects can become clouded, not allowing one to make the correct decision for the situation, whether there be a correct decision at all. A perfect example of this is when one is impaired by the use of alcohol or drugs. They are not able to make decisions using all the facts and inferencing what may or may not happen as a result of one's actions. This may not appeal to all instances of justice being correctly served, however it is a real life situation of how the brain can become enveloped in bias, or other otherwise. Greed as well holds a very prominent hand in the way of Justice. When greed consumes one's thoughts and emotions, one can not think of the consequences for themselves, or worse, others. In To Kill a Mockingbird, greed plays a huge role in Justice between races. The caucasian race, in this time period, was unable to see how their longing for power over the African-American race. This makes Justice almost impossible to reach.
